Solos wins Gold for Best Travel Company for Singles Holidays at the British Travel Awards
Established company, Solos, was awarded Gold for Best Travel Company for Singles Holidays (small company) at the prestigious British Travel Awards, on Tuesday 28 November 2023.
Solos was founded in 1982 and now offers a wide range of holidays for globetrotting travellers. From Costa Rica to Canada, Africa to America, India to Iceland, Croatia to the Caribbean and Uzbekistan to the UK, Solos has divided its holidays into easy-to-select categories depending on interests. Whether it be winter sun, tennis, walks & treks, golf, or city breaks, the only thing guests need in common is a zest for life and a desire to travel.
Having launched in 2018, the British Travel Awards is home to the largest poll of consumer opinion on the best companies operating in leisure travel. The awards have no affiliation or stakeholder interest with any travel or publishing companies; they are determined solely by the number of public votes cast. Over the last five years, an average of 312,000 individuals have registered their votes annually – this level of participation, combined with the straightforward voting process, has established the British Travel Awards as the gold standard for enterprises operating in the leisure travel sector.
The 2023 awards ceremony took place at Battersea Evolution in London, and was a wonderful celebration of achievement for all companies recognised by customers as being the best in the business. Sports presenter and actress, Charlotte Jackson Coleman, hosted the proceedings, and money was raised for Make A Wish charity.
The winners were determined solely by the number of consumer votes cast between July and October 2023. This year, an incredible 1,660,863 votes were cast across the travel and leisure categories, making the British Travel Awards 2023 a record-breaking year for consumer votes.
