NBA Partners with Peak Horizon to Create Basketball Camps for Kids
With childhood obesity on the rise, parents are feeling the pressure, more than ever, to encourage and motivate their children to get active from an early age. So to make things easier for mums and dads, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Peak Horizon have teamed together to develop an all-inclusive summer basketball camp for children.
Team sport is a great way to encourage children to be more active. Throw in world class facilities and 2 weeks of unbeatable basketball coaching, including 3 days with a former or current professional NBA coach, as well as an unlimited choice of outdoor activities, and kids will soon forget about TV’s and video games.
Set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the French Alps in either Tignes or Alpes d’Huez, Peak Horizon camps provide the perfect setting for aspiring young athletes to develop their basketball fundamentals during the summer months.
Children will return home bragging about their expert NBA tuition as well as all the additional activities that they’ve taken part in, including rock climbing, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, mountaineering, horse riding and local excursions in to nearby towns and villages.
The basketball clubs are open to children aged between 10 – 17yrs, giving them the opportunity to master skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and individual and team defence and offense.The chance to make new friends will also serve as a lifelong memory.
