21st Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup in Kitzbühel
As the year unfolds, Kitzbühel invites enthusiasts to embrace the thrill of winter sports with the 21st Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup. Recognized as the world’s largest snow polo tournament, this event promises a spectacle of equestrian prowess set against the breath-taking backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser. Commencing on 11 January 2024, with a grand inauguration at the “Goldener Greif” hotel in the heart of Kitzbühel, the Snow Polo World Cup will take place from 12 to 14 January 2024. Attendees can relish three days of intense competition, featuring eight teams from various nations and 100 thoroughbred horses. Against the stunning Alpine panorama, witness four exhilarating matches each day, culminating in a grand finale on Sunday at 3.30 pm. Ski World Cup in Kitzbühel – A Gravity-Defying Feat on the Streif
The legacy of the Hahnenkamm races, returning for its 84th edition in 2024, transforms Kitzbühel into a hub of winter sports excellence. From 15 to 21 January, experience the adrenaline-pumping action as top-tier athletes take on the renowned Streif downhill course and Ganslernhang slalom. The week kicks off with downhill training on January 16, offering free admission. The real showdown begins on 19 January, with the first of two downhill races on ‘The Streif,’ followed by a second race on 20 January. Concluding the spectacle is the mind-blowing slalom race on the Ganslernhang on 22 January. Tickets, available exclusively in advance, offer a front-row seat to witness history in the making. One hell of a run – Vertical Up
Kitzbühel introduces the #onehellofarun Vertical Up challenge on 24 February 2024. The event challenges participants to conquer the original Streif, spanning 3,312 km with 860 vertical metres, in the fastest time possible. With no set rules, participants choose their equipment, whether it be spikes, skins, ski mountaineering gear, or snowshoes. The ultimate winner combines endurance, technique, and optimal equipment.
