AliKats adds three brand-new chalets to its bespoke collection in Morzine, France
AliKats has added three new chalets to its bespoke collection in Morzine, France, bringing the company’s total number of chalets for the 2022/23 winter to 12.
Catered Chalet Riviere (sleeping 10), and self-catered Chalet Alpaga 1 (sleeping 12) and Chalet Alpaga 2 (sleeping 11) will open for skiers and snowboarders in December 2022.
Chalet Rivere is in the quiet village of Montriond, a short drive from Morzine, whereas Chalet Alpaga 1 and Chalet Alpaga 2 are situated minutes from the Super Morzine gondola in the thick of the characterful resort. All chalets are circa 90 minutes’ drive from Geneva Airport, or less than 45 minutes from Cluses and Thonon stations when travelling by train.
All three chalets have been built using local wood and stone, and feature fantastic living spaces, modern kitchens, spacious bedrooms, elegant bathrooms, welcoming balconies, warming hot tubs, useful ski and boot rooms, speedy Wi-Fi, and plenty of luxurious touches. In addition, they all have parking; anyone who has made the journey by car will not have to spend time hunting for a space.
More importantly, all three chalets will use 100% renewable energy thanks to air source heat pumps for heating and hot water, and electricity from energy from river fed dams. Plus, AliKats achieved zero food waste and was carbon neutral and waste neutral last year – an incredible feat, especially in the Alps!
Guests staying at Chalet Riviere can enjoy delicious cuisine cooked by the chalet’s private chef. AliKats only use locally sourced produce (and eggs from their own hens) and specialise in catering for a variety of dietary requirements including coeliac, vegan, or vegetarian. And although Chalet Alpaga 1 and Chalet Alpaga 2 are self-catered, this does not mean guests need to miss out on AliKats’ renowned menu. Kat, who won the Morzine Source Food Awards three times (and subsequently became a judge on the panel) and her expert team, can prepare delicious home-made two-course evening meals for those who want to sit back, relax, and let the oven do the work. Plus, AliKats can organise a morning bakery delivery, pre-grocery shop, discounted bottles of Champagne, fine wine, and delectable cakes for those special occasions. Additionally, the knowledgeable team can help with lift passes, ski hire, beauty treatments and massages, making the holiday even more memorable and hassle free.

Chalet Riviere
Nestled next to the river in a quiet part of Montriond, a small village that sits on the eastern side of Morzine, Chalet Riviere is a perfect retreat for family, friends, or couples after a romantic getaway. Built in 2021, the chalet joined AliKats’ collection recently – ready for winter 2022/23. Inside, guests will find a spacious living room with high ceilings, crisp white walls, and a roaring log fire. The kitchen features a double oven, long-large worktops, and a useful island on which the hob is located – the ideal place for the private chef to cook delicious meals. Five bedrooms (sleeping up to 10 adults and three children) all have access to a balcony. Four of the bedrooms are en suite, with the fifth having access to its own bathroom. The master bedroom, Seine, has a queen-sized bed, stunning views of the valley from the balcony, and a huge free-standing roll top bath and waterfall shower. At the top of the property, a cosy snug on the mezzanine can be found. And if that’s not enough, guests can sink into the brand new outdoor hot tub with a refreshing glass of wine after an exhilarating day on the mountains.
A week’s stay during the 2022/2023 ski season costs from €8,330 total (for 10 people) on a catered basis. Price includes breakfast and afternoon tea every day, dinner five evenings each week, unlimited wine, Wi-Fi, a private chauffeur service from 8 am to 10 pm (finishing at 6 pm on Thursdays) and committed service from the AliKats’ team throughout the stay.

Chalet Alpaga 1 & Chalet Alpaga 2
Brand new for December 2022, self-catered Alpaga 1 (sleeping up to 12) and Alpaga 2 (sleeping up to 11) have it all: central location, sauna and outdoor hot tub, en suite bedrooms, open plan living and dining areas, modern kitchens, Wi-Fi with Netflix, ski and boot rooms, and parking for 1-2 cars outside. Alpaga 2 also has a TV and/or playroom area on the mezzanine; ideal for a family.
The chalets are finished to an incredibly high specification, guaranteeing luxury throughout. Plus, an adjoining door links the two; large groups can rent both together to sleep up to 23 people across eight en-suite bedrooms (four en suite bedrooms in each chalet).
Guests staying at Alpaga 1 and Alpaga 2 can enjoy an incredibly convenient location: 350 metres from Super Morzine gondola, 400 m to the shops, bars, restaurants, ski hire shops, and tourist office – and it’s on the bus route for those wanting to make use of the reliable public transport.
