Year of Le Boat

In the last few months Le Boat has achieved a lot. The self-drive boating holiday specialist has introduced Horizon to its fleet (a super-duper brand new 5* river cruiser designed and built exclusively for couples); partnered with Intrepid to provide holidays ideal for solo travellers, and started flotilla holidays in Italy. What’s more, Le Boat has also compiled a Thames river guide and a Canal du Midi guide to give holidaymakers on Le Boat’s cruises all the insider knowledge they need about these key cruising areas, from top attractions to irresistible restaurants. If the odd boating holidays are not enough, serious river cruise enthusiasts can also part-own a boat, buy second-hand and can even rent it out via Le Boat. To showcase all of the latest news and to celebrate Le Boat’s success, we hosted an event at The Bishop in Kingston upon Thames on Tuesday 24th May. The sun shone, the food was divine, the Pimm’s was flowing and we all got to take the helm, driving the boat down the Thames, narrowly avoiding rowers, sailors and Queen Elizabeth II’s swans. Here are some photos from the lovely evening we had. Please note that no swans were hurt in the making of this event.

 

 

 

 

The event provided a fantastic opportunity to truly experience the absolute freedom you feel when taking a boat down the river. No boating license nor experience required. The river is your oyster, the vessel is your home, the horizon is your goal.
