As we head towards the warmer temperatures and longer days of spring and summer, Heaven Publicity is excited to announce it has been appointed by Click&Boat to lead its PR activity in the UK and Ireland. With more than 50,000 boats available in 164 countries, Heaven Publicity will work with Click&Boat to promote it as the leading boat-rental platform in Europe as it sails towards its 10th anniversary next year.

Click&Boat connects more than one million renters and works with more than 70% of the entire European professional fleet. However, Click&Boat is more than just a boat rental platform; it is about being able to enjoy an incredible experience on water. Using the site, guests can decide where they want to go, pick their preferred vessel, and choose whether they would like a skipper. The wide range of boats means Click&Boat caters to families, groups of friends, couples, and even business retreats. Plus, with rentals lasting from a day to weeks on end, guests can sign up to regattas, celebrate a birthday in style, snorkel in crystal clear waters, explore otherwise inaccessible coves, and discover delicious local cuisine onboard.
Recent data from Click&Boat shows the most booked destinations for UK travellers in 2022 included Ibiza, Cannes, Dubrovnik and Athens; and the most popular boats for those users were Catamarans, Gulets, and Yachts. Bookings for the UK market were also up by 151% in 2021 (and are continuing to grow) compared to the pre-pandemic period – with Spain being the favourite destination, followed closely by Italy, Greece, France, Croatia and Portugal.
Looking at all markets, Click&Boat bookings for private cruises almost tripled in October and November 2022 compared to the pre-pandemic period. Last year, the platform registered its highest number of accounts created. And, having reviewed the first quarter of 2023, Click&Boat is heading into its most successful summer, with increased traffic and bookings. A first look at 2023 trends, UK users’ favourite destination are the Ionian Islands, with a current record of Catamaran and Gulet bookings.
Plus, with an ever-increasing drive to become more sustainable, Click&Boat now has Electric Boats in various destinations, including an Electric Catamaran in Olbia, Italy; an Electric Motorboat and Electric Trimaran in Hyères, South France; and an Electric Sailboat and two Electric Catamarans in Ibiza, Spain. Click&Boat is confident numbers of Electric Boats will continue to rise in 2023 and beyond as manufacturers are starting to build their first sustainable models.
But how does it work to offer a boat for charter, or to charter a boat?
To offer a boat for charter: private and professional owners create a Click&Boat account free of charge (this includes their profile and sailing CV). Once complete, the details go live, allowing them to manage bookings and, after confirming, connect with renters. After the charter period, owners can rate renters on multiple aspects, including sailing skills, responsibility, and character; enabling them to build an informative, positive profile. A dedicated Click&Boat Account Management Team works with all owners listed on the platform to make sure everything is run correctly and that the fleet is 100% secure.
To charter a boat: using the self-explanatory search engine, users pick a place of departure, start/end date, and boat type etc., renters can find the best boat for them quickly, and then contact the owner in writing (via the internal messaging service) asking questions and requesting to book. Once the owner accepts the request, users can book their charter by authorising the online payment, before coordinating the final details such as the timing and location of handing over the keys. Like owners, those chartering the boat can review their experience to help others prepare for future trips. A dedicated internal advisor service is available throughout this process.
Guests can hire Motorboats and RIBs from £150, and Catamarans and Sailboats from £990 – and there are plenty of other vessels to choose from. Plus, one of the biggest boats, a Catamaran, can sleep up to 16 people – perfect for a family or group of friends.
