What’s new this winter in Megève for the 22/23 winter season?

Nestled in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif, Megève is a beautiful Alpine village ideal for all those wanting to reconnect with loved ones and the great outdoors. The spirit of Christmas is present all winter in Megève, with the switching on of the Christmas lights on 3 December 2022 offering a preview of the magic of Christmas. The ski lifts are set to open on 10 December 2022, and they will stay open until the middle of April 2023. There will be no increase in price of the lift pass this year with a one day lift pass available from €49.50 / £43 and a six day pass available from €277.50 / £242.

NEW: XXL swing facing Mont-Blanc

At the top of the Jaillet gondola, on the massif overlooking the village of Megève on one side and the entire Mont-Blanc chain on the other, a high-flying experience awaits thrill seekers, holiday makers, skiers and pedestrians (aged 8 years and over) alike. In groups of three maximum, climb to a height of 16 metres before giving the starting signal and setting off on a hair-raising adventure, swinging at maximum speeds of 20 km/h. NEW: overnight stay in an igloo in the great outdoors

Spend a magical night sleeping in a village of igloos. The experience begins with a fairly easy snowshoe hike under the stars equipped with headlamps. Adventurers will arrive at the village consisting of seven igloos sleeping up to 14 people total. Visitors can enjoy fondue in a fire-heated tipi, followed by mountain storytelling and laughter. This new venue, which takes inspiration from the ocean, brings an exotic feel to the typical mountain restaurants. First and Last track ski touring with Oxygène

Seize the day and climb the summits at sunrise to reach the freshly groomed slopes or leave your mark in the untouched powder, accompanied by an Oxygène instructor. Start by climbing the slopes on ski touring skis, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the top before skiing down the empty slope. L’Ours des Prés – a fun area for young skiers

On the Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area, is a recreational area especially for children and teenagers want to develop and improve their skiing skills. There is a range of games designed to focus on particular skills including balance and control and for the thrill-seekers, a mini ‘Kilometre lancé’ speed skiing stretch which allows you to work on building speed in a safe environment.
