‘Tis the season to revel in new festive activities at Les Villages Nature® Paris
Noël’, derived from the term ‘les bonnes nouvelles’, literally translates as ‘the good news’ or ‘glad tidings’, and families spending the festive season at Les Villages Nature® Paris this year will be pleased to discover the new seasonal experiences on offer.
The eco-friendly holiday village will be pulling out all the stops to deliver winter holidays full of joy and all the trimmings. With new festive workshops, events and activities, as well as decadent food options to please all the family, the resort promises a Christmas to remember. Children can meet and take photos with Father Christmas and his elves when he arrives at the Lakeside Promenade, while those seeing in the New Year can celebrate it with a bang at Les Village Nature® Paris’ striking firework display. To create that home-from-home atmosphere in the cottages and apartments, guests will even be able to decorate their accommodation with Christmas trees bought on-site, which can be pre-ordered online and delivered to the apartments and cottages.
At night time, Les Villages Nature® Paris’ decorations come to life with lights, snowflakes and wreaths adding an enchanting Christmas ambiance to the park. The holiday village will ring out with classic festive tunes at the bowling alley, where Mum and Dad can sing along to Fairytale of New York, and a Christmas-themed mini disco will keep the cheery anthems alive throughout the park. At the quiz night, competitive families will go head-to-head in a jovial evening held in the bowling alley.
Just like the elves making presents in the North Pole, visitors to Les Village Nature® Paris this winter will have the chance to immerse themselves in a range of new creative workshops. In festive culinary classes, families will bake tasty Christmas cookies to enjoy as they cosy up in their apartment or leave out as a snack for Santa Clause. A variety of workshops (appropriate for toddlers) is also on offer at the Festive Kids Club, allowing little ones to participate in the yuletide fun. Children can have winter make-up, sing carols, make Christmas decorations and listen to Christmas tales. The crafts made by the children can then be taken home to decorate their own houses.
For many, Christmastime is all about the food, and Les Villages Nature® Paris is offering a range of catering options to suit families, friends and couples. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, diners at Cépages will be treated to a decadent set menu of scallops with citrus fruits, home-made foie gras, lamb shank with confit new potatoes and truffles, followed by a traditional yule log. The next day, a selection of tasty treats will be served for brunch. The BelleVie Farm’s café-restaurant will offer a special festive menu starting with a glass of champagne and canapés, then roasted king prawns in ginger and lemongrass served with truffle risotto, beef fillet with Veneur sauce, gratin of vitelotte potatoes and apple chutney; a selection of cheeses and a trio of chocolate desserts. On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, guests will have a sweet or savoury brunch menu to choose from.
Those who prefer special occasions to be less formal can head to PUR Etc. for its buffet comprising sweet and savoury options made with locally sourced and organic produce. Alternatively, gourmet platters will be available to buy at Franprix, the on-site supermarket, so guests can host their own festivities in their apartments. The platters will include all sorts of gastronomic delights from crevettes, oysters and langoustines, to ballotines of poultry with foie gras and port sauce, or monkfish in ragout and creamy rice. Hosts can ‘wow’ their guests with no hassle, allowing more time to be spent in the workshops and activities around the holiday village.
What could be a better way to end the year and embrace the winter season than a trip to the Deep Nature® spa? Families can take a break from the celebrations and soothe those present-wrapping muscles with massages and treatment packages, as well as spending time in the sauna, hammam and salt room. For a special midwinter moment, guests can take a dip in the balmy outdoor pool of the Aqualagon – heated to 30ºC by the warmth from the earth’s core – whilst surrounded by the frosty natural surroundings.
