Sound | Escape Presents Its Third Edition in Kitzbühel, Austrian Tirol
Three days – two Alpine Stages – 19 locations – 30+ artists. From 20 to 22 March 2026, Kitzbühel once again becomes a meeting point for electronic music enthusiasts.
Following two highly successful editions, Sound | Escape enters its third round, with a further refined concept. Dr Viktoria Veider-Walser, Managing Director of Kitzbühel Tourism, sees great potential in its continuation: “For many years, our businesses have placed a strong focus on electronic music in the mountains. With Sound | Escape, we have succeeded in bringing these forces together and connecting our partners on the mountain and in the town through an innovative concept. We are very much looking forward to the third edition of this electronic boutique festival at the most beautiful time of the winter season.”
Electronic beats from the peaks to the heart of the town
Kitzbühel is widely known for hosting top-tier DJs in the electronic music scene. With Sound | Escape, the individual initiatives of mountain huts, bars and venues in both the ski area and the town are brought together within one cohesive festival concept. The two Alpine Stages at Kitzbüheler Horn (Friday, 20 March 2026) and Hahnenkamm (Saturday, 21 March 2026) provide the setting for a diverse programme in a unique alpine atmosphere.
The festival kicks off on Friday afternoon, 20 March 2026, with high-calibre acts at Alpenhaus on Kitzbüheler Horn. Afterwards, bars and clubs in the town continue the experience with a perfectly curated line-up of international and local DJs.
On Saturday, 21 March 2026, the programme continues from Hahnenkamm down into the town’s participating venues. The festival concludes on Sunday, 22 March 2026, with a relaxed finale on the mountain and in the town.
Line-up & Venues – Including Headliners
Across the three festival days, more than 30 DJs will perform at 19 different locations on the mountain and in the town.
A particular highlight is Claptone, the internationally renowned house DJ and producer, known for his energetic live performances at more than 275 shows per year and appearances at major festivals worldwide, including Tomorrowland and Coachella. His signature Venetian mask guarantees global recognition.
Also returning are Vienna-based Brazilian-Austrian DJ Joyce Muniz, last year’s highlight act KILIMANJARO, style icon Wolfram, and many more artists – including long-standing Kitzbühel favourites such as Marvin Aloys, Steve Hope and Tom Pool.
