Ski France adds more properties to its collection in the village of Vaujany, France

Located in front of the magnificent Grandes Rousses Massif, at an altitude of 1,250 m, Vaujany has all the charm and character of an authentic mountain village. Vaujany has easy access to 250 km of spectacular pistes, reaching an altitude of 3,300 m, ranging from glistening glaciers to snow-dusted forests. From Vaujany, guests can directly access the Alpe d’Huez ski area by cable car, renowned for its sunny aspect and abundance of gentle greens and blues that are great for families or beginners. The more advanced skiers and snowboarders can try the iconic 16 km long Sarenne – the longest black piste in the Alps – plus check out the fun freestyle parks.

Ski France has added two properties to its collection in Vaujany. Residence La Cascade, offering a range of self-catering apartments, and Hôtel Les Cimes, a welcoming hotel with standard, triple or family rooms.

With its central location in the heart of Vaujany, Residence La Cascade has all the right ingredients for a perfect snowy getaway. Showcasing a range of accommodation options from two-bedroom apartments sleeping up to four people to a five-bedroom duplex apartment sleeping 10 people; the residence is great for families or large groups of friends. It’s also extremely affordable: a week’s stay costs from £326 total for a self-catered apartment sleeping four people.

Each accommodation features its own fully equipped kitchenette, modern bathroom, television, and balcony or terrace with magnificent views. Free Wi-Fi is provided as standard. Designed with natural stone and local wood, it’s the perfect place to relax after an exhilarating day on the mountains. Plus, guests can make use of the pool, sauna, steam room and gym at Ski France’s neighbouring residence.

For a different stay, Hôtel Les Cimes is just a stone’s throw away from Vaujany’s restaurants, shops and cable cars. The hotel offers peaceful, warm and modern rooms, some with balconies showcasing spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel can be booked on a bed and breakfast or half-board basis, depending on the guest’s needs, and once a week guests can join in with a convivial fondue evening. The bar and restaurant are always cosy, and the bar staff will be on hand to serve their signature cocktails or coffees in the cosy lounge. A week’s stay is priced from £815 total for a standard room, sleeping two people, on a bed and breakfast basis (or £1,070 total for a standard room, sleeping two, on a half-board basis).

Vaujany itself has escaped over-development and retained its original vibes, whilst still offering visitors a taste of modernity with state-of-the-art ski equipment. Once the skis are off, guests can spend their evenings exploring its winding lanes home to traditional restaurants serving fondue and other local specialities. Plus, there are many other activities to choose from, such as ice skating, dog sledding, swimming, paragliding, and snowshoeing.

Ski France has always provided its customers with hassle-free holidays and excellent customer service; guests at both Hôtel Les Cimes and Résidence La Cascade have access to discounted ski passes and equipment with top providers, as well as best price guaranteed airport transfers. Ski France staff can also share expert local knowledge including recommendations to the best restaurants or après-ski events. Plus, customers can secure their accommodation with a deposit of just 10% (if booking far in advance) and then pay nothing more until two months before arrival (another 10%) and then pay the final balance a month before travelling.

Reaching Vaujany couldn’t be easier thanks to Ski France’s own airport transfer service, MV Transport. Guests arriving at Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble or Chambéry airport, can meet their driver in the arrivals hall and be whisked up the mountain in a comfortable, winter-adapted minibus. Alternatively, guests wishing to bring their own vehicle or hire a car will find car parking options available at both properties.

Importantly, with flexible arrival and departure dates, guests are not obliged to follow the traditional Saturday to Saturday protocol, allowing them to avoid main travel times and busy weekends at the airport.
