The Lindt Chocolate Show

The epitome of Swiss Chocolate, Lindt offers visitors an insight in to the craftsmanship and passion of the chocolatier – in the most unique setting. Situated at 3,454 meters, the new Lindt Chocolate Shop is the highest in the world, and invites guests to share the pleasure of the Lindt Master Chocolatiers. As well as providing an exclusive insight into the fascinating world of chocolate making, visitors will be seduced by a free sample of the world-famous Lindt Chocolate. With 2.7 billion produced in 2012 alone, this is the ideal place to learn the secrets of the trade, from those in the know. And with unrivalled alpine views, there really is no better way to indulge in a Swiss chocolate treat!

New Restaurants

The Jungfrau region now boasts not one but two newly refurbished restaurants for the delectation of gastronomes. A full 10 months in the making, the Eiger Group’s ‘Glacier Restaurant’ opened its door to guests on the 1st of May, offering brand new multimedia equipment, two independent modern kitchens and a show-stopping floor-to-ceiling glass facade which offers breath-taking views of the nearby Aletsch Glacier. A state-of-the-art climate system means the building can be heated as well as cooled – the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Foodies are also encouraged to enjoy the cuisine in the revamped Bollywood Restaurant, which has been up and running since Good Friday. Benefiting from an 11 million Swiss Francs investment by Jungfrau Railways, both restaurants have combined seating of 360, and sit at 3,454 meters above sea level. The final phase of development is due for completion in August 2014 (snow dependent!), but with work already ahead of schedule, and disruption at a minimum to guests, it looks as though dining out in Jungfrau is already at its peak.

Alphorn Blowers on Schynige Platte

Beginning on 29th May, visitors to Schynige Platte will be treated to traditional Swiss Alphorn performances totally free of charge.
