New flights for winter 2022-2023 to Grenoble Alpes Isère and Chambéry Savoie Mont-Blanc airports

The VINCI Airports network provides British passengers the opportunity to land in either Grenoble or Chambéry airports, both the closest gateways to the French Alps.

This winter sees the introduction of new ski routes from the UK to the Chambéry Savoie Mont-Blanc and Grenoble Alpes Isère airports, such as Edinburgh on Saturdays from December 17th. As regards Chambéry airports, weekly flights on a Sunday will arrive from London Stansted, and Manchester with Jet2.com and from London City and Southampton with British Airways Cityflyer from December to April 2023. Whilst the other gateway, Grenoble airport, will allow customers to depart from London Gatwick, London Luton, Edinburgh and Liverpool with easyJet, as well as from Birmingham with Jet2.com.

With a frequency of flying from London Gatwick and Stansted every Monday, Thursday and Friday, guests can opt for a ski short break as an option.   • British Airways – London Heathrow: Saturday; London Gatwick: Saturday and Sunday.
  • Jet2 – Birmingham: Saturday and Sunday; Manchester: Monday, Saturday and Sunday; London Stansted: Saturday; Newcastle: Saturday.
  • Wizz – London Gatwick and Luton: Saturday.
  • RYANAIR – London Stansted, Bristol, Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham: Saturday; Edinburgh: Saturday and Sunday.

Chambéry Savoie Mont-Blanc airport will be served by 8 routes from the UK for winter 2022/23:

  • Jet2 – London Stansted: Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday; Manchester: Saturday and Sunday; Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham and Saturday.
  • British Airways – London City: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday; Southampton: Saturday; Edinburgh: Saturday.

The airports are human-scaled and welcoming to the average skier, especially when compared to catching a flight in a larger crowded airport. Moreover, the slopes of all local resorts are also a short drive from the airports and easily accessible by tour operator transfer, hire car and regular coach services which run directly from the airports. Regular shuttle services available from the terminal are on hand to all the main ski resorts: La Plagne, Alpe d’Huez.
