More flights and an enhanced French airport experience for East Midlands’ snow sports lovers
The journey to the pistes of the Alps will be easier for skiers and snowboarders from the urban centres of Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Mansfield, Northampton and Nottingham this winter with thanks to the introduction of a new direct flight from East Midlands airport to Grenoble Isère, operated by Jet2 on Saturdays from 15th February 2020 to April 2020.

- 23 ski resorts are accessible from Grenoble Isère airport direct from East Midlands Airport

In anticipation of the new route bringing more holidaymakers to the pistes, Grenoble Isère airport has invested to enhance the experience for skiers and snowboarders at the end of their holiday as they make their journey home.
The resorts of the Vercors and the Chartreuse regions have just got even closer. Easily reached in less than two hours from Grenoble Alpes Isère airport, the beautiful alpine resorts of Vaujany, Alpe d’Huez, and Les Deux Alpes are the perfect destinations for a snow sports holiday. The resorts of Villard de Lans, Corrençon, Chamrousse, les 7 Laux as well as Oisans and Belledonne are closer still. The Isère region has a total of 23 ski resorts that represent 1,200 km of slopes
The slopes of all local resorts are also a short drive from the airport and easily accessible by tour operator transfer, hire car and regular coach services which run directly from the airport.
With these new flights a city break is also an option being based in Grenoble and skiing in one of the local resorts such as Chamrousse just thirty minutes away. As well as its heritage and natural beauty, Grenoble is also a thriving modern city offering great opportunities for couples and families. Stroll through the food markets of Les Halles Sainte-Claire or enjoy a spot of shopping at the popular Caserne de Bonne or up the Bastille for stunning views across the city.
