La Folie Douce, Val d’Isere via’s off piste to Kensington’s Bodo’s Schloss!
Last night the world famous Val d’Isere après-ski haunt, La Folie Douce, skied-in from the slopes of the French Alps to London’s most renowned après-ski venue, Bodo’s Schloss. Never-ever have these two high octane themed bars and restaurants joined forces to kick off the Ski season in such Alpine revelry.
Making his debut appearance at Bodo’s Schloss, Folie Douce’s very own Kely Starlight dazzled his way into Kensington with live electro music and several “Folie Schloss” cocktails served in ski boots. Folie chic attendees moving to the vibes of the saxophonists and cabaret included: Sugarbabes star Heidi Range, boy band Rixton, fashion stylist and DJ Alexis Knox, Model and DJ Jay Camilleri, TV and radio presenter Phil Clifton, Olympic skier and Dancing on Ice star Chemmy Alcott and BBC sports presenter and five time Olympian Graham Bell.
The legendary nightspot began the evening with a V.I.P dinner and outside party, where snow machines pumped out on the dance floor and bar to create a spectacular winter wonderland on High Street Kensington. A lucky few had the chance to taste Bodo’s Schloss’s new menu with a French Folie inspired twist.
Waitresses outfitted in traditional Austrian dirndl dresses greeted guests as they snowplowed into London’s après-ski bar and completed the alpine landscape.
Luckily the fun isn’t just for one night, the party continues at Bodo Schloss on Friday 14th November and the second part of this collaboration will take place in Val d’Isere with Bodo’s Schloss and La Folie Douce creating more alpine antics in the mountains on the 25th and 26th March 2015.
