Game On! World Snow Awards Shortlist Announced
The most prestigious event in the snowsports calendar, and launched by VOS Media, the company behind Daily Mail Ski And Snowboard magazine and the Ski And Snowboard Show, the Awards will be judged by a 20-strong panel of ski and snowboard experts and by public vote.
Olympic stars Martin and Graham Bell head up the panel, with Graham’s co-presenter on Ski Sunday Ed Leigh joining them via Skype from New Zealand, a sign of just how important these Awards are regarded. Also on the panel are former President of the SIGB Damon Street, editor of Where to Ski & Snowboard Dave Watts, former Chief executive of the Ski Club of Great Britain Caroline Stuart Taylor and editor of Daily Mail Ski And Snowboard Henry Druce.
Judging takes place on September 13, with the winners revealed in style at a fun-filled awards ceremony on Friday 2nd November in the Champagne Suite of the Novotel in London.
The centrepiece of Daily Mail Ski And Snowboard’s 25th anniversary, and part of the annual Ski and Snowboard Show in Earls Court, London, the unmissable night will be hosted by Marcus Brigstocke. A keen snowboarder himself, the actor, comedian and renowned satirist will bring his inimitable brand of comedy and commentary to the event, making it a night of laughter as well as plaudits.
The Awards will recognise the best resorts, companies and individuals in 25 categories, as revealed below, with ski and snowboard brands judged using the Ski & Snowboard’s extensive results from annual testing weeks.
Winning a World Snow Award is an independent stamp of approval for a company and its products, singling them out from the competition. VOS Media will work with all winners to gain as much impact from their World Snow Awards win as possible!
