AliKats bring a taste of the Morzine Mountains to the UK

Al and Kat Judge – the dynamic duo at the heart of AliKats Mountain Holidays – will bring an individual taste of their Anglo-French cuisine to the slopes of Clapham Junction on Saturday 24th October.

Food-lovers will find common ground on this one-night-only gastronomic adventure that will showcase AliKats’ local award-winning cuisine. Food is Kat’s passion and she loves creating delicious menus that combine and reflect the French and English influences from the heart of the  Portes du Soleil. Guests will enjoy an original 4-course menu accompanied by local French wines and the social warmth and atmosphere of a chalet holiday in London. The event will be hosted at The Social Pantry Café on Saturday 24th October at 7pm.

The personal combination of the name ‘AliKats’ is a reflection of the two characters at the heart of this niche operator and their dedication to providing tailored and heartfelt holidays. Driven by ‘a need to feed’ and look after people, Kat’s innovative and enticing menus have been delighting chalet-holiday-makers since 2010. AliKats Mountain holidays consistently receive fantastic feedback from their guests and are now no.1 on TripAdvisor for accommodation in Morzine, France. They have also won awards for their food.

In the 2015 winter season AliKats Mountain Holidays expanded from one to three chalets. Flagship chalet ‘La Ferme a Jules’ was joined by designer ‘De L’Ange’ and family-favourite Riverwood Lodge. All three chalets offer something different whilst maintaining the AliKats magic. Now AliKats want to bring a taste of the Morzine Magic to London with their first ever chalet-themed supper club!

Highlights of the menu will include: Tartiflette tatin with reblochon ice cream & Savoyard ham; Breast of free range chicken, with diots de savoie stuffing, pomme boulanger and wild mushroom cream and genepi sorbet. Each course will be accompanied by a specially selected glass of complimentary wine and there will be a few delightful surprises along the way.

A full menu (including vegetarian option) and further details of the event can be found on Grubclub.com*. Tickets cost £35 per person and can be booked here

AliKats also have experience in catering for those on restricted diets or with food allergies and sensitivities. Research shows that 1-2% of the UK population have severe food allergies and between 20-30% suffer from some degree of food intolerance at any one time. This can restrict holidaymakers to self catering accommodation when faced with commonly inflexible catered options. AliKats pride themselves on maintaining the standard of delicious food and will research and deliver tasty tailored menus to meet the individual needs of each guest which sets them apart in a market where the standard of food and drink has become so important.** The team work with family member and food expert, historian and writer Michelle Berriedale Johnson; editor of Foods Matter websites and founder of Free from Food Awards (invaluable resources for those with food sensitivities and allergies). Examples of an AliKats Allergen free menu can be found here.
