What’s new for Le Boat in 2017
Le Boat’s new 2017 brochure makes a splash with a brand new fleet of 5* vessels, a new departure base in Holland, new options for solo travellers in Italy and fantastic early booking deals.
Europe’s largest operator of self-drive boating holidays continues to enhance its offering and helps holidaymakers captain their own cruise. Now with 16 destinations and over 40 boat models to choose from, including a revolutionary new range of 5* Horizon cruisers, there’s a Le Boat option to suit every boating holiday budget and taste.
More Horizons are on the horizon
Exclusive to Le Boat, Horizon offers affordable luxury to couple and small families, looking to take to the water in style. Offering a 5 star experience, with a large master suite, a second smaller cabin, and expansive social space inside and out – Horizon is like no other boat available for hire on Europe’s waterways. Demand was high for the brand new boats introduced this summer 2016 and they quickly sold out. Le Boat has announced a further 40 Horizon models will join the fleet in spring 2017, with Horizon boats arriving for the first time in Ireland, Belgium, Brittany and Charente.
NEW Bigger Horizons
2017 will also see the arrival of four NEW, larger, Horizon models – all built to the same high 5* standard of the original Horizon, but each sleeping five, seven or nine people. Ideal for small groups and families the brand new Horizon 2-S, Horizon 3 and Horizon 4 are available to book now for Spring 2017.
New! Horizon 2-S
This new boat is the same size as the original Horizon but sleep up to five guests with a smaller front cabin making room for a second bathroom. Available in France; Burgundy, Midi, Nivernais-Loire, River Lot; Holland, Ireland and Italy.

New! Horizon 3
The new Horizon 3 will be a larger vessel with three en suite cabins, accommodating up to seven guests. Holidaymakers can book their holiday on Horizon 3 in France; Alsace, Aquitaine, Burgundy; Germany and Ireland.

New! Horizon 4
The Horizon 4 will be the same size as Horizon 3 but configured to sleep up to nine people with four en suite cabins. The design and layout makes it ideal for multi-generational families and groups. It will be available for cruises in on the Thames and in France; Alsace, Brittany, Burgundy, Charente, Lot River, Camargue, Midi, Nivernais-Loire; Germany and Holland. Priced from £1680 for a week’s rental in Germany based on March 2017 arrivals.
Hindelhoopen – the New boat base in Holland
For the 2017 season Le Boat will also open a new base in Holland – Hindelhoopen. Famous for art and its traditional dress, Hindelhoopen lies north of Amsterdam in the Friesland region. From here holidaymakers can cruise through green pastures and small fishing villages, or head south towards our other base and even stop off in Amsterdam itself.
New Le boat style flotilla for solo travellers and more social cruising through Veneto
Flotilla holidays in Italy are back for 2017! Holidaymakers navigate the rivers, canals, lakes and lagoons of the Vento region, and come together for group activities, tours and even a sunset BBQ, all while expertly guided by a skipper on the lead boat. Guests can join in as much or as little as they like. Flotillas are the ideal mix of independence and reassurance where groups of friends, couples and individuals will be able to holiday in style with up to seven other boats, under the reassuring guidance of a flotilla host. This style of boat travel allows people to explore the beauty of Italy with an itinerary that includes a Casale return trip via Venice, Burano, Chioggia & more, with plenty of flexibility and free time built in. It’s a great way to meet new people whilst having the holiday of a lifetime. Departing only once a month and with a limited number of places, Le Boat advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
New for 2017 it’s now also possible to book independently by the cabin on the lead boat of the flotilla. Solo holidaymakers and couples can now join the flotilla fun with prices available from £1270 per cabin.
