HIKING 

Digital adventure trails in Achensee 

Two new digital themed trails lead guests playfully through the Achensee region. The “Path of Reflection” themed trail offers the opportunity to find peace and quiet through guided meditationand mindfulness exercises along the existing “Dien-Mut-Weg” trail in Pertisau. The “Achensee Nature Adventure Path” on the other hand is family friendly. Learn about Karwendel Nature Park’s diverse flora and fauna in an exciting way, while interactive learning modules and quizzes encourage visitors to learn about the region’s biodiversity.  

Unwind in Nature: New Relaxation Spots Along the Ochsenkopf Trail, Ötztal 

A walk through the Ötztal Valley’s unspoiled alpine landscape just got even more serene. New installations along the Ochsenkopf Trail offer moments of pure relaxation, with creatively designed platforms shaped like bathtubs and two beautifully integrated treehouses. One treehouse is perched at the tree line, offering sweeping views over the village, while the other sits at the forest’s edge above the Ötztaler Ache River, immersing visitors in the soothing sounds of nature. Trail details: 4.5 km | 145m elevation gain | Approx. 1.5-hour walk.  

Leutasch NEW Three-Day Hut Hike: An Unforgettable Family Adventure, Seefeld Region 

This is the perfect new three-day hut hike that will thrill hikers of every age. It’s a hut-to-hut hike for families in the Seefeld Region. Pristine nature, rustic hut accommodation and fun for young and old in the form of playgrounds, wildlife and natural waterways make the tour through the Gaistal valley an ideal experience for children aged five and over. Trail details: 3 stages -16.2 km | 960m elevation gain | 10 hours walking time| two sleeps.  

Awaken Your Senses: Osttirol’s Reimagined “Path of the Senses” Trail 

Launched as a joint project between Osttirol Tourist Board, Hohe Tauern National Park and the municipality of Virgen, the “Weg der Sinne” (Path of the Senses) adventure trail will reopen in summer 2025 with a whole new look. Stations dotted along the trail are intended to heighten awareness of the human senses and are designed primarily for families. In addition to the twelve interactive stations, the trail features benches, sun loungers, photo opportunities and a scenic cinema to inspire visitors to explore the impressive mountain world. Digital Trails, Schwaz: A Journey into Tirol’s Silberregion Karwendel 

This summer, three new “digital smart” hiking trails allow guests to explore the Silberregion Karwendel. The “Way of the Senses” offers the chance to unwind with yoga, while the “Planet Trail” in Terfens depicts the planets of our solar system in their true proportions. Steeped in history, the “Miners’ Trail” in Schwaz. offers a fascinating glimpse into Tirol’s rich mining heritage, leading visitors through original 16th-century tunnels once used by silver miners. Bringing history to life, the newly digitised themed trails now feature interactive storytelling, games, and challenges via the Locandy app, making the experience both educational and entertaining. A must-visit for history buffs and families alike.  

Tree House Trail, Stubaital: A Bigger and Better Adventure for Summer 2025 

From summer 2025, the popular Tree House Trail  at the middle station of Kreuzjochbahn cable car in the Schlick 2000 resort in the Stubai Valley is set to expand with nine tree houses and will invite visitors to explore the almost 5,000 m² world of adventure between the forest floor and the treetops, accessible even for prams. Bardin the dwarf remains the trail’s charming guide, while the brand-new Dwarf Fire Station adds to the excitement. The extended route now connects Gasthof Vergör with the Gröbenhöfe farms before looping back to the Schlick 2000 valley station. Trail details: 2.5 km | 96m elevation gain | Approx. 1-hour walk.  

Wildschönau Whirlwind: A New Family Adventure Trail for Summer 2025 

Winding 3.5km between Niederau and Oberau, the Wildschönau Whirlwind nature trail is packed with exciting stops, interactive challenges, and breathtaking viewpoints. From playful forest hideaways to wildflower meadows and bubbling streams, every step brings a new discovery. Designed for kids and grown-ups alike, this action-packed trail will be ready for summer 2025.  

Spieljoch Adventure Tour: Unravel the Mystery of the Wünschel Route 

A special audio adventure awaits young explorers at Spieljoch in Zillertal “The Mystery of the Wünschel Route” takes families on an interactive quest alongside Alwin, the little miner of Spieljoch. This 2.2 km trail, packed with ten exciting tasks, leads from the Spieljoch cable car mountain station towards Onkeljoch and back. With riddles to solve and secrets to uncover, the journey promises two to two-and-a-half hours of immersive fun, blending storytelling, nature, and adventure in the heart of the Alps.   

TRAIL RUNNING 

Wipptal’s Ultimate Trail Running Escape: Elevate Your Stride in the Alps
The Wipptal Valley invites you to discover its incredible Train Running Retreats in the Wipptal mountains in summer 2025. The events, which focus on improving technique, personal endurance and mental strength, are suitable for all levels of ability. Beginners start in May with the Training Retreat, where they learn the basics of trail running in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. The Alpine Performance Retreats in July and September are designed for more experienced runners. Participants benefit from the support of ASTA-certified trail running guides, qualified physiotherapists and nutrition coaches 

NEW CYCLING & MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS 

Big Air, Bigger Thrills: Bike Republic Sölden Gears Up for Summer 2025 

Bike Republic Sölden is pulling out all the stops for summer 2025 with game-changing upgrades and a milestone celebration. For the first time, the massive Dirt District from the Swatch Nine Media Event will open to the public, offering adrenaline-fueled jumps and technical challenges. Adding to the excitement, the brand-new Freeride and Slopestyle Line promises even more airtime, while the revamped Bartigs Bödele trail delivers next-level flow. And to top it all off? The BRS Birthday Party in June 2025 with three days of high-energy events to mark the 10th anniversary of this legendary biking paradise.   

Family-Friendly Biking Fun in Imst  

Nassereith’s Family Trail Park is set to become a hotspot for young riders and active families. Opening in summer 2025, it features three trails, including a flowing downhill route, a dedicated kids’ track, and an uphill feeder trail. A mobile pump track and skills zone provide the perfect space to practise technique and build confidence. 

Cross-Border MTB Adventures in Paznaun-Ischgl  

A thrilling new 30km mountain bike tour will soon connect Ischgl with Ramosch in Switzerland, offering stunning scenery and a mix of technical and flowy sections. For endurance junkies, the Fimbapass Marathon offers 80km of high-altitude adventure, crossing borders with breathtaking views. Plus, the Silvretta Bike Arena and Silva Trails Galtür join the Gravity Card network, giving riders access to Europe’s 30 top bike parks. 

New Bike Playground in Hall-Wattens  

Launching in the summer of 2025 in Gnadenwald, this all-new bike park  features a dedicated skills area with jumps, a pump track, and beginner-friendly short trails, plus a varied trail park catering to all ability levels from families to experienced riders. 

Next-Level Freeride in Nauders  

The Goldsee Trail with Jumpline is the latest must-ride addition to Nauders’ 3-Country Enduro Trails. This hybrid trail seamlessly blends natural elements—stone, wood, and earth—with high-flying jumps and smooth flow. Located at the Goldseebahn cable car, it delivers a thrilling ride for both technical riders and those seeking an exhilarating descent. 

New Multi-Pitch Magic in Paznaun-Ischgl  

The Climbers Paradise region of Paznanun Ischgl  unveils three NEW multi-pitch routes in Galtür: the Jamtal (4+ to 7 difficulty), the Alpine routes on Ballunspitze (3+ to 6a), and the more accessible Alpinarium via ferrata (A/B), providing breathtaking ascents for both beginners and experts against the dramatic Silvretta Alps. 

New Via Ferrata in Kaunertal 

Easily accessible from Feichten, the new Keilschrofen via ferrata offers an exciting 180m climb (B/C difficulty) leading to a spectacular viewing platform. A new training loop at the base ensures beginners can develop their climbing skills, making this an ideal addition for adventurers looking to progress their technique in a stunning alpine setting
