Solos’ Launches Women-Only Tours for 2026

Women now make up more than half of all bookings with adventure travel companies, according to the Adventure Travel Trade Association, and the trend is not just among younger travellers. A global study of 1,000 women revealed that adventure travel is the most sought-after type of travel among those aged 50 and above.

Yet despite this growing appetite for solo exploration, one barrier continues to dominate: the single supplement. Many women feel penalised for travelling independently, especially in mid-life and beyond. That’s why Solos’ new women-only tours for 2026 respond directly to this need: offering private rooms with no single supplement, small group sizes, female Solos Tour Leaders, and women-focused experiences designed for mature, independent travellers.

From cooking classes with female chefs in Morocco to rickshaw rides with women drivers in India, these tours combine the freedom of travelling solo with the comfort, safety and camaraderie of a group, in three culturally rich destinations: Morocco, India and Greece.

Medinas, Mountains & Coast, Morocco

Discover the spirit of Morocco on a 13-day female-only journey through Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Marrakesh and Essaouira. Guests will enjoy a Moroccan calligraphy workshop, a cooking class at La Maison Arabe with a local female chef, and visits to embroidery, pottery and argan oil cooperatives run by women.

The 12-night Women-Only Morocco tour departing 31 March 2026 costs £4,399 pp, including return flights, airport transfers and taxes, a private room for solo use, breakfast and dinner daily, a welcome drink and information meeting, and a dedicated female Solos Tour Leader.
