Pierre & Vacances opens the Premium residence Les Villas d’Olonne in western France

French tour operator Pierre & Vacances is delighted to announce the opening of the Premium residence Les Villas d’Olonne, which will welcome its first guests on 12 June 2021. Located four miles from the beautiful seaside town of Les Sables d´Olonne on the Atlantic coast in the department of Vendée, the residence is the latest in a string of new upscale properties to open in France under the Pierre & Vacances brand.

For most of us, it is 18 months or more since we took that last important overseas holiday. Stringent travel restrictions remain in place across much of Europe, but as vaccine programmes roll out, we can look ahead to better times, and that means planning that first big trip, reconnecting with loved ones, and making the most of the great outdoors. With Pierre & Vacances, guests can opt for a great value self-catering holiday, with more than 380 properties to choose from worldwide, including over 75 locations in France by the sea, and more than 55 properties in the French Alps. At the Premium residence Les Villas d’Olonne guests can simply relax and unwind, or instead choose from countless active, cultural and family friendly experiences in the local area.

The new residence consists of 54 brand new three- and four-bedroom houses, ranging from 740 to 990 square feet in size. Situated in pleasant gardens between the ocean and the Sauveterre state forest, with its two and a half acres of natural landscapes, each house benefits from its own private heated swimming pool, air-conditioned living areas, beautiful, fully equipped kitchen, and directly accessible private parking space. The residence is perfect for families, with a children’s play area, pet friendly accommodation options and a daily bread and pastries delivery service.

Pierre & Vacances premium residence Les Villas d’Olonne makes a great base for anyone wanting to explore La Vendée’s 1,100 miles of cycle paths and hiking trails, and nearby there are horse riding, quad biking, and golf options to enjoy. The local beach, which can be accessed from the residence on foot or by bike via a pathway lined with pine trees, is well known for its great surf, with stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing, bodyboarding, canoeing, and many other water sports available. The Parc des Dunes water park is only five miles away and features more the 40 aquatic attractions, while those in search of culture should head to the Medieval town of Vouvant or visit the 12th Century Mélusine keep and castle.

During these uncertain times, the safety, and the financial protection of all its guests remains the top priority of Pierre & Vacances. As such, the operator has been working hard to ensure that all those that can travel in 2021, will have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Special Covid-19 practices have been introduced at all locations, including the provision of hand-sanitiser for staff and guests, increased cleaning and disinfecting processes, and the updating of hotel ventilation systems. And with fully equipped apartments and many hotel rooms that feature fitted kitchens, there is no need to worry about social distancing when it comes to eating and mixing with others.

Travellers can book their Pierre & Vacances holiday with peace mind thanks to a Flexible Rate option. It entitles guests to a full refund on their entire stay when they cancel up to three days in advance of their trip for any reason*. And should Covid-19 restrictions force a cancellation, holidaymakers will have the option to change the date of their stay or opt for 100% of their money back.
