Innovative Maison Sport launches group ski and snowboard lessons, saving customers 15 per cent compared to ski schools
Skiers and snowboarders in resorts across France will be able to enjoy an average saving of 15 per cent on their group lessons this winter, thanks to Maison Sport.
The innovative online platform makes it easy for customers to find and book qualified and professional independent ski instructors in the resort they are visiting – for both group lessons (new this winter) and individual lessons (now in their second season after a hugely successful launch year).
Customers can search by instructor rating, skill set, experience, languages spoken or lesson cost to find their ideal lesson. The system is continually updated showing the live availability of places in each class, enabling users to book in and pay for their group lessons immediately. Similarly, for individual lessons the system shows the live availability of the instructor, allowing immediate booking, confirmation and payment.
The platform received excellent feedback from customers in its first year, with over 200 five-star instructor ratings and reviews left by customers (reviews are specific to the lesson the named instructor gives) and places in the shortlist for two World Snow Awards secured.
Only licenced instructors are registered on Maison Sport, giving customers peace of mind that they will be taught by a professional and experienced instructor. More than 300 have signed up across 50 resorts in France, giving customers fantastic choice in the timing of group lessons, costs and skill set as well as the level of experience of their instructor.

Maison Sport’s approach also allows instructors to provide feedback on their students, focusing on the technical improvements they have made or the exercises they have been working on in their lessons. This provides a really valuable memory aid for the customer’s next snow holiday and also, if they choose to make a repeat booking, allows them to build on what they have learnt in subsequent lessons.
Another benefit for customers is that Maison Sport holds their payment securely, which they make online when booking, until their lesson is completed and then releases it directly to the instructor.
