Guests at Glamping Villa Hanz witness the first snow-cap on Mount Fuji, Japan
Guests staying at Glamping Villa Hanz, on a press trip with Heaven Publicity, witnessed the first snow-cap on Mount Fuji on the morning of 5 October 2023. Kofu Local Meteorological Office states this was three days later than normal, and five days later than last year.
Situated on the banks of Lake Kawaguchiko, in the Fuji Five Lakes region, Glamping Villa Hanz is the ideal place to switch off, soak up the stunning surroundings, and in this case, see the first snow-cap on Mount Fuji.
Glamping Villa Hanz asks guests to “Relax if you can”, and creates an environment that actively facilitates communication and encourages guests to experience the joy of learning. The spacious site provides many places in which to comfortably converse, plus runs workshops on how to light a fire for a BBQ and safe knife handling – both core life skills that have been lost over time.
Guests at Glamping Villa Hanz can choose between three accommodation options: Villa, Pao, or Guest House. And activities comprise forest bathing, hiking, mountain biking, wakeboarding, flyboarding, and star gazing, plus time spent in the private sauna or the newly opened Onsen.
Those on the press trip admired the first snow-cap on Mount Fuji from canoes on Lake Kawaguchiko. Hat, age 57, who led the excursion from Glamping Villa Hanz, says: “We never know when the snow will fall. We’re very lucky to be on the first canoe trip with a view of the snow-cap this year, and we all look forward to a bountiful ski season on the slopes of the Fujiten Snow Resort”.
Prices at Glamping Villa Hanz start from ¥32,128 / £176 per Pao sleeping two people per night on a room only basis, breakfast can be added for ¥2,373 / £13 pp. Flights and transfers extra.
