Jamie Anthony – Head of Sales, Edwin Doran Sports Tours & Sam Bird – CEO and Head Coach of London Pulse

London Pulse, after topping the league in 2023 and securing a runner-up spot in the Grand Final, is back with renewed determination. Following a bronze-medal finish in 2024, the team is poised to build on their success and challenge for the coveted Netball Superleague (NSL) title once again. This season, Pulse continues to showcase top-tier talent and competitive gameplay, with their sights set firmly on championship glory.

Launching today at their home ground, Copper Box Arena at the Olympic Park, Edwin Doran has been announced as match day sponsor for London Pulse Netball in the country’s premier domestic competition, the 2025 Netball Super League season.

This exciting partnership marks a significant step forward for both organisations as they unite to foster community engagement and support grassroots netball initiatives. As a specialist educational sports tour operator, renowned for its bespoke sports tours worldwide for schools and groups, Edwin Doran is ensuring female sports are at the forefront of their future strategy.

As an official sponsor, Edwin Doran is focusing on promoting equality in sport and working towards closing the gender gap in team sports. Every girl should experience the transformative power of sport as it builds skills for life. 860,000* girls are missing out on the joy of team sports right now, that’s a 22% gender gap in all team sports with only 13% of girls playing netball*.

The collaboration between Edwin Doran and London Pulse, will extend beyond the court, with Edwin Doran’s team pledging support to the team’s community programme. This initiative aims to enrich the lives of local youth by providing them with access to professional coaching and educational opportunities at Edwin Doran’s flagship centre, Condover Activity Centre in Shropshire. Edwin Doran wants to ensure sport is open to all girls.

Commenting on the partnership, London Pulse’s CEO, Sam Bird, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Edwin Doran on board this season. Their support is vital in getting young people playing netball from the grassroots up and will allow us to expand our community programme over the next 12 months.”

Richard Twynam, Managing Director of Edwin Doran, part of the Experience Education portfolio, remarked on the significance of the alliance, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with London Pulse and be at the forefront of educational sports tours sponsorship. This collaboration underscores our dedication to fostering girls’ participation in sports, particularly in netball. We are excited to embark on this journey with London Pulse and to contribute to the growth of the sport at all levels.”

Sam Bird and Richard Twynam will be available for interviews, please advise if you would like to interview them about this new opportunity.
