VIP SKI crowned “World’s Best New Ski Hotel 2022” at the World Ski Awards
VIP SKI has been awarded the title of the “World’s Best New Ski Hotel” at the 10th annual World Ski Awards – the global initiative to recognise and reward excellence in ski tourism.
Thanks to all of VIP SKI’s loyal customers, the latest arrival on France’s luxury ski hospitality scene, Bear Lodge, took ‘World’s Best New Ski Hotel’.
Andy Sturt, Owner of VIP SKI, says: “We would like to thank all our staff who bring Bear Lodge in Arc 1950 to life, without them, this award would not have been given to us. This is the culmination of seven years’ design and development, during which VIP SKI has tried to create the ultimate ski experience. The new wing of Arc 1950 blends seamlessly into the picturesque high-altitude village and offers a completely new level of comfort and convenience. This was a unique opportunity to build perfect ski homes for every type of guest. At VIP SKI we strive constantly to offer properties that appeal to skiers, provide excellent service, and always offer a friendly welcome, so this prize rewards the work of all the team. OK, let’s be honest, there are plenty of smarter, glitzier, posher hotels out there, but for our own community of discerning skiers, Bear Lodge is just about perfect”.
The results follow a year-long search for the world’s leading ski travel, tourism and hospitality brands. Votes were cast by ski industry professionals and ski consumers, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named the winner. Awards were also announced on a country-level, with the best resorts and hospitality providers from the world’s leading ski tourism.
VIP SKI’s Bear Lodge sits on the piste, next to the ski lifts at the giddying altitude of 1,950m and is a short walk across the slope to the centre of the car-free village.
Bear Lodge features comfy twins, family rooms with bunks (children in bunks pay half price), or adjoining rooms for parents and teenage kids. This ski-to-door 30-bedroom hotel includes a proper sized pool you can swim in, a spa with plenty of steam, a piste-side kid’s space, cosy restaurant, lively bar, in-house ski shop plus exercise room and cinema.
Price: A seven-night stay, from 5 February 2023, costs from £1200pp (was £1434) in a Mont Blanc view twin room.
